Filling instructions step by step
Creating the document has been made as easy as possible. If you need step-by-step instructions, here we go through every step how to create and save a document.
1. CORRECT E-MAIL ADDRESS
First, we will confirm your correct e-mail address. The form will send an e-mail to you. The [Confirm] button in your confirmation e-mail will take you to the beginning of the form. Note that if you do not receive this mail within minutes, it is possible that there is a typo in the address you entered.
2. FILLING THE FORM
Next, you will be asked about your wishes about who you want primarily to take care of the arrangements and all your wishes related to the funeral.
The most common wishes concern the place of burial, the manner of burial and matters related to the memorial service. Also matters related to cremation. Likewise, matters related to death notices. In your wishes, you can mention e.g. where you keep a possible draft announcement for the newspaper, ceremony program or other document.
3. INFORMATION TO THE FUNERAL HOME
When the form is filled out, you can send your e-mail address to the Funeral home of your choice, so that they will also know that you have made the document. The content of the document itself is not sent to the funeral home for your information security.
If you later decide to send the entire document, please agree on that with the funeral home.
4. SECURE ONLINE PAYMENT
Next, the [Proceed to payment] button on the form will take you to the signing phase through the usual online store payment.
5. VISMA SIGN SIGNATURE INVITATION
You will receive a signature invitation sent by Visma Sign by e-mail. The invitation contains a password that you can copy. And then the [Proceed to sign] button opens the document to the Visma Sign view.
6. CHOOSE AN IDENTIFICATION METHOD
Here is the [Go to authentication] button where you can choose the authentication method. In this section you can click, for example, on the logo of your own online bank. After the Authenticate step has been completed successfully, you can sign the document electronically by pressing the [Sign document] button.
READY DOCUMENT
At this point, you can still preview the signed document and save it also on your computer.
If you wish, you can also switch to the Visma Sign account from here, where the document is stored in accordance with the Visma Sign Terms of Service.
If you want to register for a Visma Sign account, the registration must be done with the same e-mail address with which the document was signed, so that it can be seen in your own Visma Sign account.
WHERE TO STORE
You should save the Funeral Plan Document on your own computer or additionally in the Visma Sign archive. If you wish, you can also send the file to the e-mail of a trusted person. It’s a good idea to keep the document printed as a paper version in a place where it can be easily found by your loved ones or someone you trust.
The Funeral Plan Document should not be kept in paper form in a bank safe deposit box, as it is often only opened after the burial.
The last valid document is the one found on your own computer, in the Visma Sign service or printed on paper. So you can change the Funeral Plan Document at any time, by deleting the old versions and making a new one.
